Firm Wins Reversal in Alabama Supreme Court

April 1, 2011

The firm is now readying for trial in a medical malpractice case that has left a young child blinded for the rest of her life.  This case was originally filed against multiple defendants for their combined and concurring negligence that resulted in the injuries suffered by this brave child.  Some of the defendants have settled while others have challenged the law that allows a plaintiff to seek a recovery from all of the defendants who contributed to cause her harm.  The Alabama Supreme Court dealt a blow to the defendants in a recent ruling that recognized the right of plaintiffs to recover from all of those parties whose actions combined and concurred with others to produce an injury.  It is expected that this case will be set for trial soon and this young child will have her day in court and an opportunity to offset some of the major medical costs she now faces for the rest of her life.
